this past weekend i went home to my parents house to visit. my mom is really in to scrap booking and her specialty is making greeting beautiful greeting cards.  she has all sorts of fun tools for making cards. The newest one is the Silhouette Portrait, which is a die cutting machine.  I used to make the doo doo piece (a couple of posts ago) and then i decided i wanted to make an old school paper mask. I did some research and found online that you can export images from illustrator to the Silhouette and I began experimenting. As you can see from the pic above of my dad mask, i still have some more experimenting to do.

this movie was recently rereleased and i have been seeing it pop up on the nets lately. the time has come to watch it! check out the trailer:

my friend Michael Itkoff is doing a photo shoot at HUB in raleigh. HUB is at 711 Hillsborough St  Raleigh, NC 27603.  he wants some folks to come by around 5:30pm on friday and be a part of the shoot. mike says “People should wear white and bring some kind of cyberpunk material (swim goggles etc).” He is gonna bring some beer and it should be fun. i will be out of town but if i wasn’t i would be there. if you are having trouble with cyberpunk visuals that is what the internet is for.
