So I like Busdriver a lot. His cadence and oddball lyrics have always made him unique and a standout in hiphop. For his new video, what really had me excited was when I found out it was directed by Brent Weinbach! If you know me, you know he is probably my favorite comic. When you pair him with DJ Douggpound (my other fave) the shit is unstoppable. Weinbach’s material is smart, and he delivers his work in an unorthodox style that oscillates between disingenuous naivete and a creepiness. The result is off-putting but hilarious. You will never laugh more while feeling a little “icky.” This is where the video comes in. It is funny, it is gross, it is formally pleasing in use of colors and composition, and it has fucking merkins! Watch that shit now!!!! Then get on public transit and watch it again on your phone!!
