next thursday night will be the inaugural voyage of the new monthly Neptunes Comedy Open Mic. im hoping it is great fun. if you are unfamiliar, Neptunes is an awesome bar in raleigh. Neptunes: 14 W Martin St, Raleigh, NC 27601, it is downstairs from King’s, and Garland (eat there before hand). i’m hoping to get some momentum behind this so we can keep it going. hopefully it will get established as a relaxed but focused spot for comics working on new stuff, as well as people who need a bit of a kick to try it out. obvs. time is limited, so it will be a show up go up with a cap on the number of people. its free to get in, so buy lots of drinks and tip the hell out of the bartenders. ever noticed how your drinks get stronger when you tip well?
